I am Andrea Orazi, Born in Treia (MC) in Italy in 1986. Since I can remember I have always drawn and painted. I spent my childhood with my tempera colors on the kitchen table. In a certain way, I owe to my father the passion for art. When I was a child, while the other families used to go to the beach in summer time, however, my family would rather visit the main artistic cities of Italy and rest of Europe. 

When I grew up, I went to college to pursue advertising graphic design. I had to share time between my studies and working at my family’s business. I always felt pulled in many directions and painting was always for a refuge me. Thanks to my autodidactism, I managed to get over from my negative feelings which had prevented me from fully living my creative potential. In 2008, after a serious health problem, I decided to refocus my life and I began my journey as a professional artist. I fought against everyone and everything, convinced of my decision, and now, after several years, I feel happy with my brave choice, which allowed me to live my art and enjoy life.

Right now I travel regularly between Spain, Italy and New York City.

Since then, I have been using painting as an interior search, using artistic expression as a vehicle to connect with my body, my emotions, my thoughts and my soul. My artistic search is not only aimed at finding harmony, but to allow my spirit to reach people who see my work, because art does not need words, only emotions conveyed through images and colors.

 

For years I have studied the esoteric and mystery traditions of Europe and the world. This knowledge has allowed me to experience art as an instrument of searching myself and enigmas of the world. From my point of view, artworks are not only images but books that contain a secret knowledge, which can be extracted from the images only through a meditation and contemplation. Before starting a new work, I prepare myself with breathing and meditation to enter into an altered state of consciousness, to get in touch with the archetypes I want to reach, in order to capture not only the images but also the energetic essence of the object of my artwork. In my personal sense, the artistic search is a way to squeeze spirituality and a prayer to the invisible world, it is the manifestation of my connection with the worlds that I visit during my dream journeys. The Great Rite of fusion between the different aspects of my soul. Art is the gift I have received from my near-death experience. Since that day I have faithfully followed this path, because without it, from that day, I would already be dead.
